The 2019 Honda Civic: An Iconic Vehicle Transformed
July 29 2019, Honda Des Sources
The Honda Civic is a culmination of improvements in all phases of its design. The updated exterior design rivals that of larger competitors and Honda includes many of its latest driver assistance and drivetrain technologies in each trim. Here we’ll highlight the DX, LX, EX, Sport, and Touring sedans.
The standard exterior features combine style, convenience, and function for Canadian roads. All models have heated power door mirrors, front splash guards, LED taillights, body-coloured bumpers, and more. The LX adds auto on/off projector-beam halogen headlights and the EX upgrades to 16” aluminum alloy wheels, speed-sensing wipers, and a one-touch power moonroof. The Sport moves up to a centre exhaust chrome finisher, 18” dark alloy wheels, and halogen fog lights.
You’ll be impressed with the Touring’s bright alloy wheels, decklid spoiler, chrome door handles, LED headlights, and LED front turn signal indicators.
The 2019 Honda Civic Has Some of the Best Performance and Efficiency in its Class
The Civic boasts plenty of power for its size. The DX, LX, EX, and Sport models have a 2.0-litre 16-valve four-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The DX with its manual transmission achieves a fuel consumption rating of 9.3 l/100 km in the city and 6.5 l/100 km on the highway. The CVT transmission-equipped LX, EX, and Sport trims reduce consumption to 7.9/6.1 l/100 km.
The Touring model gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that increases horsepower to 174 and torque to 162 lb-ft while slightly increasing fuel consumption. Drive-by-Wire Throttle and Eco Assist systems are standard equipment on all models.
